Description

Microsoft 365 E5 Compliance is a suite of tools and services that help organizations meet their compliance requirements and manage their risk posture. It is designed to help compliance and IT teams perform ongoing risk assessments across Microsoft Cloud services, automatically protect and govern sensitive data throughout its lifecycle, and efficiently respond to regulatory requests leveraging intelligence.

The new solution from Microsoft includes

  • Office 365 Advanced Compliance, which includes Advanced Data Governance, Advanced eDiscovery, and Customer Lockbox. The package offers greater compliance value to customers and a combination of solutions, and can further help customers meet compliance requirements, while managing risk and reducing cost.
  • Azure Information Protection, which protects corporate data by allowing more secure access to company resources and enabling safe sharing of sensitive information inside and outside your organization.

Eligibility and Validation: Office 365 Government plans are available to (1) qualified government entities, including US federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial government entities, and (2) other entities (subject to validation of eligibility) who handle data subject to government regulations and requirements, where use of Office 365 Government is appropriate to meet these regulations and requirements. The approval and provisioning of net-new GCC tenants may take up to five (5) business days to complete.

How do I transfer my Microsoft 365 account?

To transfer your Microsoft 365 subscription to a new reseller you only need to cancel the subscriptions with the other provider effective the start date of the new subscriptions.

Can I use my own domain with Office 365?

When a Microsoft 365 tenant is first provisioned its domain is created as "mycompany.onmicrosoft.com" where "mycompany" is a distinct name for the business or organization. When users are created their login user name by default will be "user1@mycompany.onmicrosoft.com" until a custom domain is added. To setup a custom domain with Microsoft 365 it only requires adding a few DNS settings with your domain registrar. Once this is done users can login with a more readable user name such as "user1@mycompany.com".

How do I download Office 365?

Many subscriptions in the Microsoft 365 suite of products or other Cloud Managegement software packages come with components that you download to your computer for use such as Office 365. Once your subscription is provisioned and assigned to a user the software can be downloaded from www.office.com. The user must be logged in with their Office 365 user account.
